Essays on
Teaching Excellence
Essays
on Teaching Excellence is a series
of eight short and succinct scholarly essays distributed by
the POD Network on an annual subscription basis. Teaching
Excellence presents thoughtful and useful viewpoints from
which college teachers can look at their practice of
instruction. The ideas expressed range from philosophical
views to speculation on the effects of those philosophies.
Written in concise and non technical language and supported by
current research, the essays in Teaching Excellence
will assist instructors to reflect upon and refine their
practice of teaching to achieve the results they seek -
students learning to the best of their abilities.
Institutional
print subscription allows unlimited reproduction and use
within the subscribing institution. The HTML subscription
option is designed to allow institutions to post the essays on
center web pages, provided access to the site is controlled.
Teaching Excellence can be inserted into a campus-wide
newsletter or distributed on an essay-by-essay basis. Faculty
developers use the essays for workshops, seminars, individual
consultation, and classes. The essays are printed on
high-quality paper and are camera-ready for your local copy
center.
